With a score of 25 out of 30, (30 being the best score) for stadium cleanliness, the Citizens Bank Park ranks high enough to be placed right in the center of the “Best of the Best” group, according to Urine Feces Everywhere (UFE) ratings. More good news, the Phillie’s rival, the Washington Nationals Park ranks lower than the Phillie’s Park in UFE rating with 22 out of 30. In fact, the Philadelphia Phillie’s stadium out ranks every park in their division! Most of the teams in the Eastern National League; Miami Marlins, Washington Nationals, and the New York Met’s, all have newer stadiums like the Phillie’s. Why then do they have the lower ratings? How can Citizens Bank Park out rank its rivals in cleanliness? The answer is simple, their fans are better hand washers and their washrooms are more sanitary.
Even though the Phillie’s Park restrooms have too many “touch” areas; toilet flusher, faucet, paper towels, and soap dispensers, their facilities are clean. Automatic, or touch-less facilities greatly reduce the number of bacteria, UFE, that people come in contact with. Just because you cannot see it does not mean that it is not there. There are also plenty of clean garbage cans located at exits and near towel dispensers. Hopefully in the future Citizens Bank Park will improve upon their restroom, but for now they at least visually clean.
