The Baltimore Oriole Park at Camden Yards was a structural trend setter since its completion in 1992. With its bricked outside walls and archways the park fit in comfortably within its downtown Baltimore location. The park kept its walls low and long to accommodate fans, but not block out preexisting structures. It just fit in, and comfortably so. Unfortunately Oriole Park did not fit in very well with UFE , Urine Feces Everywhere sanitary rating. Oriole Park scored 11 out of 30 on the UFE ballpark sanitation scale, with 30 being the cleanest stadium in all of the 30 MLB Parks.
Oriole Park was reported to be visually clean in all areas, restrooms, concessions, condiments, etc.. The problem was that many of their fans do not wash their hands after using the facilities. Hard to believe, I know. For whatever reason both men and women were tolled and found to have a large number of that skipped out of the restroom without washing. Hopefully this will not be a trend setting behavior copied by other ballparks; they have other problems of their own.
