When it comes to Major League Baseball fields, we at UFE (Urine Feces Everywhere) are sad to say Cleveland’s ballpark does not rock, as the 1979 song so claims. Coming in at Number #3, we have Progressive Field, originally named Jacobs Field which has been home to the Indians since 1994.
Being a relatively new field, our UFE Team felt it was more reminiscent of the older stadiums. The restrooms were far from hands-free, using a push door and manual sinks and dispensers. The restrooms were extremely small and cramped, and the design and layout of the restroom favored exiting the restroom before washing hands. In fact, that 63% of males exited without washing their hands, while 12% of females did; that places Cleveland at 3rd worst for male and female hygiene.
Before you even reach the restrooms, though, the entrance turn style and sanitation of concessions and vendors bring Progressive Field’s ratings way down. They make hot dogs right at the seat, which UFE highly frowns upon because the vendor is handling both money and food in one transaction.
With a final score of only 57%, Progressive Field lands in our “Worst of the Worst” category.
